Therapy with Laura Baker, she/they
Marriage and Family Therapist #4327

I received my Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Community Mental Health from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I graduated in 2022 from the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis One Year Program: Psychoanalysis and the Sociopolitical World. I have received additional training working with trauma and youth and specialize in working with survivors of abuse and sexual harm as well as queer and trans folks. Additionally, I am working towards AASECT certification as a sex therapist. In my practice, I incorporate therapeutic art, narrative therapy, humanistic, client-centered, psychodynamic, and interpersonal psychoanalytic techniques. I was awarded a writing Fellowship by my university's Center For Writing and Scholarship, and I enjoy incorporating writing, journaling, and art into my therapeutic work with clients. I have presented at several academic conferences on topics pertaining to therapy, collective transformation, and social justice.

I received my Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Community Mental Health from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I enjoy working with youth age 14 and up, young adults, and elders. I incorporate exploration of identity, the impacts of societal norms, family systems, and relationship patterns in my clinical work. No two people are alike in their process, and I strive to provide a space for the unique needs of each client. I integrate various therapeutic techniques, including somatic, trauma-informed, body positive, internal family systems, psychodynamic, and CBT. I am currently accepting individuals as new clients.
